By the Soonr Team

The recent popularity of the Draw Something game is a testament to how much people still enjoy the simple pleasure of sketching and writing by hand. Drawing with your finger is OK, but drawing with a stylus is better. That’s why we’re seeing more and more people using them on their devices.

Scribble on the new iPad

By Adrian Chang

Three million third-generation iPads sold in the first three days since its debut. One of the biggest improvements over iPad 2 is the new high-resolution Retina display. The 9.7 inch screen’s pixel resolution is 2048×1536 at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). Apple claims 44% greater color saturation, and four times the number of pixels in iPad 2.

The high resolution means increased pixel real estate, allowing more precision than previous generations. Apple’s new display is the best yet for a mobile device.

You Already Have Connections!

By the Soonr Team

Have you ever experienced the joy of discovering a few forgotten dollars in your pocket? That’s the feeling you’ll get when you add a Soonr Connection. As a Soonr user you know you have Team Members, because they work directly for your company as part of your internal Team. But did you know about Connections? A Connection is a person you work with on a Project who is external to your company like clients, partners or suppliers. They work with your internal Team so they also need to have access to relevant Projects.

Business outsourcing is a growing trend. As TechCrunch‘s Nick Cronin notes in his Labor Efficiency article, “Over the past couple of years, there has been a huge increase in the number of workers who operate as some sort of independent, free-agent contractor or consultant. Though the numbers vary greatly, the consensus seems to be around 20 percent of the U.S. workforce, and growing (with some estimates up to 50 percent by 2020). Think about that, one in every five workers are currently unattached to any one company!”

With contractor and consultant numbers continually rising, chances are you’ll be working with even more Connections. The best part about Connections is they’re already part of your Soonr subscription!
